Landscaping Products for Packages
Below are the landscaping products used in our fixed price packages
Turf Rolls –
Summer water wise buffalo turf that browns in winter or ever green turf design for Canberra climate.
Soils –
For summer turf, a sandy, lime based soil is used.
For ever green turf a rich, fertile soil is used.
Vegetable garden beds use a vegetable garden soil.
Flower garden beds use a native soil mix.
Flower garden beds use a rich, fertile soil.
Red Granite –
A decomposed red granite sourced locally.
Installed and compacted at a 100mm thick.
Landscaping Pebbles –
Size 10mm to 20mm of a white, black or brown landscaping pebble delivered by the truck load.
Mulch –
A fine organic mulch sourced locally spread mimic 100mm in thickness.
Letter Boxes –
A pre made letter box up to the retail value of $600.00
Letter box base is set into 50 to 70mm of wet mortar.
Clothes line –
Pre made clothes lines up to the retail value of $600.00
Clothes line base is set into 50 to 70mm of wet mortar.
Garden Ornaments –
Pre made garden ornaments up to the retail value of $600.00
Garden ornaments are set into 50 to 70mm of wet mortar.
Stepping Stones –
400mm x 400mm x 50mm concrete pavers available in a variety of colours.
Stepping stones are set into 50 to 70mm of wet mortar.
Paved Path –
New clay or concrete pavers 230mm x 115mm x 50mm up to the value of $50.00 per m2.
Paving is installed on a minimum of 75mm of paving base, 20mm of paving sand with a cement haunching on pavers edge. A silicon base sand swept over pavers to fill gaps.
Paved Areas –
New clay or concrete pavers up to the value of $50.00 per m2.

Steel Edging –
Black steel 5mm thick x 100mm high x length is used. Corners, joins in lengths and pegs are welded. Steel lengths are 6 metres long and pegs are 250mm long.
Retaining Walls –
Can be made from sandstone or bluestone rock.
Raised Garden Bed –
Can be coloured / textured face blocks or concrete sleepers.
Plants –
Plants are purchased from a local gardening nursery. Once construction has begun, a horticulturist will do an onsite consultation with you help with plant selection and variety. You will have the final choice of the plants used onsite.
Landscaping areas and waste soil calculations.
- Areas m2 – length x width = m2. Excavation waste. m2 x depth + 50%. 10m2 @ 200mm deep is 2m3 of waste soil to be dug up from the ground and 3m3 of waste soil to dispose. Natural ground is compacted and once removed is larger in volume by 50%.
- 1m3 of mulch covers 10m2 of area at 100mm thick.
- 1m3 of soil covers 10m2 of area at 100mm.
- 2.5 meter wide access required for machinery access or additional cost applies.
